Join us for this spectacular endurance challenge!
S.A.L.V.E. International is proud to partner with Action Challenge for the Peak District Challenge 2023.
Taking place on the weekend of 8th-9th July 2023 there are 6 different route options: ranging from a 10 mile option that passes Chatsworth House, right up to the ultimate challenge, 100km!
This challenge will welcome hundreds of fundraisers into the beautiful Peak District National Park. There will be a ‘Base Camp’ hub in the idyllic Bakewell (home of the famous Bakewell pudding), which will include a full range of camping options and full support for your adventure.
What support will I receive if I take part?
Action Challenge will provide you with full technical support all the way with delicious snacks, drinks and hot meals offered throughout your journey. You will also be given support with training, including a special Challenge App.
S.A.L.V.E. will help you with your fundraising prior to the event. We have lots of enjoyable tried and tested fundraising ideas (including ones that work regardless of COVID restrictions) that can help you reach your fundraising goals. We will give you bucket loads of support on the day itself with our volunteers attending to cheer you on (and supply you with tonnes of delicious homemade cake)!
Why fundraise for S.A.L.V.E.?
Well, joining the mission of a small charity means that your efforts make a HUGE difference and go a very long way!
Your choice to support us shows the young people we work with in Uganda that you care about them, and that you want to help us to ensure that no child has to live on the streets.
And of course, for the personal challenge and massive sense of achievement you will feel!
As a small charity, every penny that we can make through fundraising events makes a big difference to changing the lives of children in Uganda. We do this by providing services to help children to leave the streets, strengthening families and ultimately trying to get children back into education.
Services we provide include:
- Street Outreach
- Halfway Homes
- Drug Rehabilitation
- Home Resettlement
- Family Business Empowerment
- Briquette Social Enterprise (cooking fuel)
- Permaculture (sustainable agriculture)
- Research, community education and partnerships
Simply put, we can’t do this without your help. With every step you take you will be helping us provide brighter futures for these vulnerable children.
