“News From the Streets” is Jinja’s first ever newspaper written by children on the streets. It is published each year in April at the International Day for Street Children celebrations. It gives the children a chance to share their views on the realities of life on the streets.

The International Day for Street Children is celebrated every year on 12th April. The day provides a platform for the millions of children on the streets around the world – and their champions – to speak out so that their rights cannot be ignored.
