Recruiting for a Permaculture Teacher

S.A.L.V.E. International is looking to recruit a Permaculture/ Organic farming teacher – could it be you?

Permaculture/ Organic Farming Teacher: This is a role where you will teach children and adults permaculture/ organic farming skills to help them to be able to earn a living through sustainable agriculture.  This teaching would take place both at our main site in Namulesa, where you will help to plan and maintain our farm, and out in the community. This is a role for someone with the heart and passion to work with children who have been living on the streets and who works well with others in a team. We also want someone who has experience in managing animal projects such as goats and chickens successfully. They will be a person who likes doing work practically and always does their work to a high quality, has good time keeping and can keep excellent records both in files and on the computers.

Qualifications: We are especially interested in hearing from candidates with permaculture/ organic agriculture and teaching qualifications.

S.A.L.V.E. International stands for Support and Love Via Education International.

S.A.L.V.E. exists to give love and opportunities via education to children and the families of children living on the streets of Jinja, Uganda. We aim to see children leave the streets and return to a stable family home and education to help them to become happy, self-sustaining, responsible adults.

We achieve this through; Drug Rehabilitation, Street Outreach work and Home Resettlement, counselling and rehabilitation, educational support, community education and Business Empowerment, fundraising and awareness raising.

We are based in Jinja city, within Jinja district. This role is based at our head offices in Namulesa.

    Thank you for having a heart for children it’s really so disturbing to see these kids love that poor life on the street may God’s blessings rain on the project to expand in other parts of the country as well
